One Door Wonder!
Hello everyone!
This last week was a great week. Transfers ran very smoothly and everyone got to where they needed to go! Transfer week is always the most tiring week for some reason. We do the most amount of office work we ever do and do the least amount of tracting or teaching but it still just drains us. We had time to knock 1 door on Friday, and the 1 door we knocked was this sweet couple we're going to start teaching!Beef of the Week!: This week Danas mom started feeding her anti material
. We called her on Saturday and talked her through some things and she seemed to be okay. She ended up coming to church still and still wants to get baptized this weekend! So exciting! Anyways so the beef is anti..Babe of the Week!: Obviously it's gotta be Dana! She feeds us every time we go over to teach her and it's always super good! Also she's been KILLING IT with her Word of Wisdom goals! She's been clean for a week and a half now so she's so excited and ready to get baptized this Saturday! She's overcome a lot!
Spiritual Thought!: I was reading in the book of Matthew this week and I liked chapter 13 a lot. One verse that stood out to me was verse 44
"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field."
I related this to the story of the young rich ruler coming to Christ and asking what he lacks. In this story Christ tells him to sell all that he hath, give it to the poor, and follow him. Then he'd receive eternal life. But it was too hard for the young rich ruler, for he had great possessions. Once we FIND (or feel) the kingdom of heaven, we'll be willing to do whatever we can to be there constantly. Even selling all that we hath! I invite you to ponder, and ask God what you hold on to that He would have you give up. And then do it!
All our progressing homies right now are either already baptized or getting baptized this weekend, but keep sending prayers! Especially pray that the ward we're serving in will recognize the magnitude of this work and desire to jump all in!
Thank you! Love you all!
