THE GATE!!

 YOO back at it again with another gmail!  I hope yinz enjoy reading these because I know they can get repetitive and stuff but if yinz have any ideas on how to make em better definitely let me know cuz I'm tryna make this more fun!! BUT HERE WE GOO!!!

Beef of the Week!:  Dr. Pepper... I know it's so good but because of Dr. Pepper I ruined my almost 1 year streak of no soda!  Soda is so bad for you, like ever since I've been out here I've gained such an appreciation of the body God has given me and I want to treat it with the utmost respect and care!  So I'm getting back on the grind, no more soda till I'm home. Mark my words.

Babe of the Week!: This week Shamika was SOOO DOPE!  She's a new friend we found last week and started teaching!  We gave her a church tour and showed her the baptismal font and she LOVED IT!  She expressed her desire to be baptized and then we had a powerful restoration lesson right after.  She is so awesome and right now we're on a recurring 3x a week visit.  So that's so cool. 

Spiritual Thought!:  So I've been studying a lot about baptism and the primacy of it in Christ's gospel.  Throughout my studies I've learned so much more about baptism and I've gained a greater desire to teach it and to share it!  I found some scriptures I want to share. Go read Luke 13:24 which is Christ teaching His followers what needs to happen in order for them to be saved.  In it he talks about a gate they need to enter.  No where in the Bible does it explain what this gate is.  But if we turn to 2 Nephi 31:17 and we read from Nephi's teachings, he explains what the gate really is!  It strengthened my testimony that the Book of Mormon and the Bible really do go hand in hand and support one another.

Homies in Oakland!: So we visited with Haoran and he kept the Word of Wisdom for a whole week which is so cool because he wasn't sure about it before!  Shamika is sweet, and Ruben is still good. Right now we're trying to find more friends to teach (as always) but we are trying to double down and expand our efforts!  So hopefully next time  I'll have 15 friends I can talk about that are all progressing nicely :)
