Hail Pitt!!!!

 What's up everybody!!! 

I made it to Oakland, and it's soooo cool!  I'm on Pitt university and there's another college called "Carnegie Mellon ''.  It's like a sister university to one in China so there are a lottttt of asian students here and it's cool because a lot of them haven't even heard of a God!!!  I'm in a YSA ward and my house is a 30 second walk from the church building... My house is tiny and beaten up and old but it makes me feel like a missionary so it's fine ahah.

Beef of the Week!: So this week's beef is HEAVY headphones, earbuds, airpods whatever.  We walk the streets for 5-7 miles a day just around the city for like 4 hours and talk to random people, but it's hard to stop them and talk to them if they have headphones in because I don't want to like grab their shoulders to get their attention or anything but I definitely want to talk to them.  So I just think they're of the devil, so don't wear any while you're walking around. 

Babe of the Week!: This week's babe is Harry  he was baptized in March and he was just interviewed for the Melchizedek priesthood and he's so awesome.  He's this crazy hyper asian dude that loves hugs and loves the Book of Mormon haha I didn't get a picture with him at all but I screen recorded a video of him in the forest reading the Book of Mormon haha I just love him!

Spiritual Thought!: I was reading in Jacob chapter 2 when I came across a passage of scripture I didn't think I had ever read before lol it says, "18 But before ye seek for riches, seek ye for the kingdom of God.

19 And after ye have obtained a hope in Christ ye shall obtain riches, if ye seek them; and ye will seek them for the intent to do good—to clothe the naked, and to feed the hungry, and to liberate the captive, and administer relief to the sick and the afflicted."  Now if any of you know me, you know I'm going to be rich one day (or I really want to be successful) but when I read this, I realized my motives have been wrong all along.  I really want to serve my God, and seek His kingdom instead.  And when I do, I'll receive what matters to me, but I'll use the wealth to help others.  I don't know if I'll ever meet my financial goals... But I do know I can become the disciple Jesus Christ needs me to become, and I can meet his expectation of me.. So think about that.

Oakland friends!: We're teaching a man named Haoran (how ren) and we just put him on date actually!  He's been to church 3 times and he's only been taught 3 times, and 1 was by me! so I caught him early. v But we get like 10 phone numbers a day from people on the street so we have so many friends we try to teach.. If any more progress, I'll let ya know:)
