"Be the Missionary Your Mom Thinks You Are"

What up weekly!  

The weeks here in Williamsport really be flyin by! We had a mission tour this week which was lame because we had to be on a zoom call for like 3 hours a day but my new favorite quote rn came from it so it's hype!  (See email title)  Elder W. Mark Bassett came to visit and it was good to hear from a general authority.  Also, I ate 30 wings at BWW after zone conference and it was kinda a flex but I'm going for 35 next time!  We also met this homie John Vargos who is an inventor and a HUGE hunter so it was hype to see all his junk he's killed and all his guns. 

 Babe of the Week!: Yo this week's babe is this lady named Lisa! We knocked into her early this week and she wasn't interested at all... But me being a talkative booger started talking with her and we talked for like 20 minutes and she ended up inviting us to her annual summer cookout AND gave us $40 to "fund our missions" which was hype so I got $20 for talking with her haha we insisted she didn't have to, but she wouldn't let us leave without it so here we are... 

 Beef of the Week!: So we were knocking and this homie answers the door after our second time knocking. He immediately said he didn't want nothing to do with us, so naturally I tried to ask why? He slammed the door and I just said, "Okay well I'll just leave a card with our number in the door" and he yelled, "You have 5 seconds before I let my Rottweilers loose" and I wasn't about that so I just said God bless! And dipped haha so that was kinda lame but I hope he calls us  Homies in Williamsport!: Darla, Ryan, Robert, Noah, Rob. These are our most progressing people!  Noah is a student at Lyco college and he's pretty hype!  He wrote a short story for us to read which is fun but he's being led astray by some whack people on campus!  Pray for him to have guidance!  Darla just needs to stop smoking and she'll get dunked!  Ryan needs to find a house in Williamsport so he can slam it down like LeBron.  Robert is chillin and Rob is HYPE!  Pray for him tho he's lowkey a lil lonely haha but we be vibin with him for now! 

Spiritual thought!: Okay guys I'm becoming a nerd. I actually like studying deep doctrine stuff and deep theology which is fine, but I listened to a talk by W. Mark Bassett (October 2016 For Our Spiritual Development and Learning) and basically he said to not search for the mysteries of God. Search the things we know, and study the plain and precious truths we have!  We're so blessed to have the scriptures to help lead and guide us! USE THEM!  I'm planning on focusing on the simple things this week and I'll let y'all know how that goes!
