Scented Pine Cones

 Hello everybody! Hope you've all been having the most wonderful week, and been able to see the Light of Christ in your lives! This week was nothing special, except it was pretty hype! We were able to find a couple people to teach, and they're people that are genuinely interested in learning more and are texting us first, rather than us texting them like 30 times before a response! So that's kinda cool! We had some hype member meals, and we really just be vibin right now! Weighing in at 190 right now.... So lowkey gotta start grinding and losing some weight maybe! IDK we'll see. I hear that you're supposed to "bulk" for the first year of the mission, and "cut" for the second year. Also I gave a talk on Sunday with like half a day's notice! So that was pretty hype haha it was basically like a long testimony with some scriptures.. But still hype!


Babe of the week!: This week's babe of the week has got to be Landon Atkinson!  He's this 3 year old homie in the ward, and we went to their house for dinner last night and he is just hilarious! v We got some really good quotes from him!  Some of which were... "EW! Ketchup on broccoli!!" (While he's holding up a cucumber with ketchup on it) or, "I'm gonna punch him in the face" while talking about his 6 year old sister's "true love" haha he's a legend and we got some good memories out of that night because of him!

Beef of the week!: This week's beef of the week is this sweet potato pie we got, that was MOLDY!  Yeah we got the pie, went to open it that night and it had some white fuzzies on it, and it was pretty sus so we just threw it away. We were really sad because we wanted some good pie but it was bad! So that was pretty sad...

Spiritual thought of the week!: As I was reading in Alma chapter 28, there was a really big war that had just happened, and a lot of people died. There was a lot of mourning, and sorrow. But in verse 14 we read, And thus we see the great call of diligence of men to labor in the vineyards of the Lord; and thus we see the great reason of sorrow, and also of rejoice in--sorrow because of death and destruction among men, and joy because of the light of Christ unto life. This was really cool to me to see how the Light of Christ didn't change what had happened to them, but it changed their perspective and their outlook on life. The Light of Christ can change all of us for the better, we just need to let it.

Some of the homies!: The people we are teaching right now are all looking very promising in progressing, and all are very interested in learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ! There's Adam, Britney, Courtney, Justin, Nick, Cody, Tom, Kristie, and Cindy!  All of which I have learned to love want to help them grow!  This week, I want to talk about Kristie!  Kristie is so driven to do what it takes to become a member!  She has set plans to follow the word of wisdom, and she is trying to be a missionary to her family!  She came to us with some challenges, and trusted us to help her, which brings me so much joy that I am able to help someone with the challenges they are going through, and that I am able to be the light in someone else's life!
